This obscure design originated from the workshop of Copenhagen upholsterer Christian Sorensen in the early 1940s. The flowing organic silhouette is typical of early Danish Modern period armchairs and it retains a contemporary aesthetic for the modern home. This new edition has been authentically developed using traditional joinery and upholstery methods at our Swedish workshops with a solid hardwood frame and sprung seat. The Sampo chair is available to order in a range of different sheepskin colours and fabrics with a choice of two leg finishes.

Materials and Production

Solid beech wood frame constructed using traditional joinery methods. Upholstered in genuine sheepskin or fabric with foam padding, fully sprung seat and back. European Oak or American walnut feet.
