Otto Schulz
A beautifully proportioned pair of lounge chairs produced in Sweden and attributed to designer Otto Schulz for Boet. This pair have wonderfully curved arms and tapering round stained birch wood feet. The chairs have been been totally refurbished at our London workshops with new padding and reupholstery in premium Australian sheepskin.
Otto Schulz was a German-born Swedish designer and founder of Boet in Gothenburg. He was one of the leading figures in the domestic furniture industry in the 1920s - 30s when Sweden was the pre-eminent Nordic country for fine furniture making. Along with his contemporaries such as Carl Malmsten and Josef Frank he created an impressive body of work in the pre-war period.
