Fritz Hansen

Model 1672 Wing Chair, 1940s

Model 1672 Wing Chair, 1940s

The model 1672 Wing Chair, designed and produced c1940, is one of Danish manufacturer Fritz Hansen's most-sought after upholstered designs from the pre-war period. Prior to finding mass-market commercial success with Arne Jacobsen's industrial designs, Fritz Hansen were the leading manufacturer of high-quality, traditional upholstered furniture in Denmark. The Model 1672 perfectly encapsulates the more modern aesthetic for upholstered armchairs favoured across Scandinavia during this period. This example has been reupholstered in premium Australian sheepskin.
