Danish Cabinetmaker
A large, inviting armchair produced Denmark c1940. This chair has wonderfully curved arms and thick, round front legs in fumed oak with a winged back. The chair has been been refurbished at our London workshops with new padding and reupholstery in premium Australian sheepskin.
Denmark became known as the finest producers of upholstered armchairs in Europe during the late 1930s and 1940s. Many high-quality workshops and factories across the country produced armchairs and sofas in this style, with exaggerated curves, deep seats and low, short legs.
