Nils & Eva Koppel
Masters of Modernism
Husband and wife duo Nils and Eva Koppel achieved world renown as architects for their modernist municipal buildings throughout Denmark in the 1950s and beyond.
Pioneers in Danish design
Danish architect couple Nils & Eva Koppel helped shape 20th century Scandinavian design through their distinctive modernist approach. Having met during their studies, they both worked under renowned architect Alvar Aalto before founding their own award-winning practice in the 1960s.
Beyond architecture, the Koppels designed striking furniture and interiors for their projects, with pieces like the Model 781 easy chair exemplifying their elegant, organic style. However, it was the Model 190 chair, released in 1952, that resonated with audiences and remains a highly sought-after and collectible piece to this day.
In collaboration with the Koppel estate, Dagmar is proud to relaunch the Model 190 design as the Medallion Chair, presented as part of our Classic Collection.

Medallion Chair
This new reissued version of the Model 190 chair features the original blade-like arms and flowing organic curves, and is available in oiled oak and walnut in a range of premium upholstery options.
