Nils & Eva Koppel
Masters of Modernism
Husband and wife duo Nils and Eva Koppel achieved world renown as architects for their modernist municipal buildings throughout Denmark in the 1950s and beyond.
Pioneers in Danish design
Danish architect couple Nils & Eva Koppel helped shape 20th century Scandinavian design through their distinctive modernist approach. Having met during their studies, they both worked under renowned architect Alvar Aalto in Finland before founding their own award-winning practice in the 1960s.
Beyond architecture, the Koppels designed striking furniture and interiors, with pieces like the Model 781 easy chair exemplifying their elegant, organic style.

Medallion Chair
The Koppels designed some exceptional yet largely obscure furniture in the 1940s and early 1950s.
The pinnacle of this brief foray into furniture design was this striking chair known simply as Model 190, produced in limited quantities in 1952 by Slagelse Møbelværk. Dagmar is proud to relaunch this design as the Medallion Chair - coming soon to the Classic Collection.
