Captured in Bo Bedre Norge, the Murstad family home in Kampen is presented as an “open layout,” where there is no distinction between rooms. Stylist and art director Linda and Mikal Murstad have created a way of living together with their children that prioritises closeness, flexibility, and shared space. The interior has also been built gradually over time, with objects carefully selected rather than acquired all at once. Many pieces are sourced directly from designers or makers, giving each object a sense of story and meaning.

Among these pieces, the Clam Chair — designed by Arnold Madsen  in 1944 — sits in the living room as if it had always been there. It's stands out for its unique shape and history. It reflects a broader language of design that values honesty in materiality, form, and longevity in us.
